Technical / Desktop Support Team Leader

Technical / Desktop Support Team Leader required by a Magic Circle Law Firm to lead a team of 3 Analyst who bridge the gap between global Service Desk and Infrastructure teams, handling a wide array of technical issues and assisting with knowledge sharing across the support function.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Technical Support team and setting the example of how a professional Technical support team should operate.
  • Working with the Service Desk Manager to ensure all support issues are dealt with in a satisfactory way.
  • Managing and contributing to projects to improve processes and systems.
  • Ensuring all support tickets are assigned in a timely fashion and managed to resolution.
  • Managing internal desk moves from an IT equipment perspective, including trainee moves.
  • Providing support for the firm's Messaging and Document Management Systems.

Skills required:

  • Service focused attitude and professional manner, appropriate for a commercial law firm
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team with a clear, concise and politely assertive manner
  • Windows operating systems
  • Desktop management solutions (AD, GPO, RES software, OCT)
  • Legal applications (iManage Worksite, BigHand Digital Dictation etc.)
  • MS Office
