Systems Analyst - Applications / Data Analysis

Systems Analyst sought for a leading law firm focused on Intellectual Property and Patents law. As Systems Analyst you will join a small team responsible for carrying out Application and Data analysis, reporting and support relating to the firm's Case Management system (Inprotech) - the team sit between IT and business, ensuring the functional needs of the business are met by the solution, analysing data, and testing and reporting on systems changes. This would be a great 2nd role for someone with a strong analytical mindset interested in technology and applications and looking to progress their career in Systems Analysis / Technical Business Analysis.
The Role
- Analysing and reporting on the impact of proposed system and config changes
- Producing reports on data quality and open issues for the Business Systems team
- Assisting with systems testing and systems configuration
- Carrying out ad hoc data cleanses, including commissioning and testing scripts
- Implementing Data updates
- Providing support on queries related to the case management system
- Maintaining records and documentation of config changes
- Investigating issues with data feeds to third parties
- Referring data issues to responsible business staff for correction
And you
You should be someone with an analytical mindset who pays excellent attention to detail. Ideally you'll be educated to degree level in a STEM subject (Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics) and have some real world work experience in a technical or analytical role.
Your skills and knowledge should include
- The ability to analyse data, identifying trends and making logical deductions / inferences
- Problem solving and the ability identify root causes of issues
- Client Services or Support skills
- An understanding of Basic IT Concepts including databases
- Strong Systems Aptitude
- Good Microsoft Office Skills (Especially Excel)
