Project Manager - InsurTech

The Firm:
An established InsurTech company offering a solution to Insurance and Actuarial business to manage and model risk quickly and accurately, and leverage greater insights into their data. They already have a solid client base across the UK and Europe and have ambitions to grow globally.

The Role:
As a Project Manager - Insur-Tech - you will lead numerous Projects focussed on succesfully implementing and integrating their SaaS solution into their clients' tech' stacks. As one of 2 client facing Project Managers you will work closely with stakeholders through the project lifecycle to ensure client / sponsor requirements are met, and engaging with internal and external resources on the development and delivery of projects.

Core responsibilities will include:

  • Drawing up detailed plans and schedules for each stage of a project
  • Running project meetings with internal and external project teams and suppliers
  • Leading the project team including organisation of the various assigned resources
  • Maintaining a risk register to avoid project slippage
  • Ensuring that at each stage projects are progressing on time, on budget and to the right quality standards
  • Complete project debrief and lessons learned sessions
  • Provision of reports on project progress to the Partners and management team
  • Influence other project manager resources to adopt common standards of project management

And you:
You should have previous experience managing IT Projects concerning business process, core business applications and Software Development and Implementation. You will ideally have training / certification in Agile Project Management and be familiar with tools such as JIRA. 

Experience in the Insurance Industry is highly desirable - whether in a business role or IT Project Management - with a solid understanding of risk modelling. You should have strong communication skills and be equally confident engaging and working with developers and testers, as actuaries and insurance professionals.

You'll have great problem solving skills and be able to adapt quickly to evolving situations.
